I tried your method of cracking the neck and it didn't work for me. I experienced some pain, but that was about it. When I go to the chiropractor he cracks it and it sounds like the 4th of July. :o My back cracks like a mother fucker too, but I have no back pain.

When you put the 3 fingers in the middle of your neck, lay your head sideways onto your hand like you're trying to listen to your hand. Then grab your chin and try to spin your chin towards the sky. It'll work. Fiddle with your pressure with both hands (1 with fingers on neck, and 1 spinning chin)
