how can you burn, say a movie you got on line to just a regular CD burner. I dont have a DVD burner, but i have heard of people burning movies onto a regular CD burner and playing them on your home DVD player? you guys ever do this?

You can burn either a video cd or a super video cd to a regular cd, both of these will play in a regular dvd player. Go to www.dvdrhelp.com and read for a while ;D

im not in the ------- mood to read, just spill the beans and give me some instructions.

yeah theres is way to much stuff on there, it would take me at least 3 days just to find out how to do it.

Re: how do you burn games ?

Took me over a week to learn how to burn those and dvds correctly. You will need 2 programs:

TMpegEnc - Can be found on www.dvdrhelp.com
Nero - Can be downloaded illegally in various places. Get the latest version possible

TMpegEnc will encode your video file from .avi or whatever it is to a video-cd or svideo-cd format. This usually will take a while, sometimes longer than the movie itself. Best to do before you sleep.

After you have encoded the file to a new video-cd format file, you can burn it using nero. You will be given the option of making either a video-cd or svideo-cd. Regular video-cd can hold a bit more video.

There's the basics. Took me a week of readin for hours to learn how to properly do this stuff, so you might need to practice ;)
