I got a bunch of hydraulic fluid onto a nice pair of pants.
I dont have a wife, how I do I get this ---- out? I read somewhere that 1/3 cup of ammonia will do it. Will it work? |

Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
My mom used to wash all my clothes back when i lived at home... Jeans would be oily as ---- but she would leave em looking new again.... I think she presoaked... then scrubbed it by hand with this mexican soap
http://www.dueronet.com.mx/esp/image...ctos/24262.jpg and it would leave them pretty damn clean.... you can probably find that soap at the grocery store, or the 99 cent store... |

Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
if you're like Random-strike, you dont :P
https://www.homemadeturbo.com/jbliss/jeans.jpg actually if you can find it, there is a spray called "oil eater" its taken grease and oil out of all my clothes |
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
dude its easy.. all you gotta do is give them to your grandma and she'll get the stains out. thats what i do ;)
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
wash your clothes with castrol superclean, that ---- is the best
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
I would try putting a little Dawn on them and rinse them. If that doesn't work, try Oxy Clean. Whatever you do, don't put them in the dryer until the stain is out. Once they have been put through the dryer, you are fucked.

Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
Im always ruining good clothing. I use Diesel fuel to remove grease, and on my driveway I reccomend Gunk brand GP general purpose cleaner.
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
to get that stuff out... wash 'em?... J/K try some "spray and wash" and let it sit for a while before you wash em
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
drive stains can be taken out with brake cleaner. spray, let it sit then wipe or burn it off.
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
back when I was a grease monkey, I used SHOUT, and sometimes in conjuction with a 2 liter Coca-cola. It didnt always get all the oil/grease out but 90% was good enough for me.
Just make sure you follow the directions (for the Shout). brake fluid = new clothes. |

CRC brake clean will take it right out. We used it to get oily footprints out of customers carpet when I was turning wrenches for a living. It works everytime with no ill efects.
|
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
I didnt have any break cleaner at home so I put dishwasher fluid on them and let that soak in.
Then I covered the stains with the actual laundry goo. Pantelones = clean :8 |
Re: How do I get oil out of jeans?
i heard that if you soak your pants in coca-cola overnight, that it should lift the oil stains out. you need a bucket and maybe a 2 or 3 litre
