how to do good burnout?

my dad has a 97' teg gs-r and hes going away for a business trip, and while hes away he wants me to put the new tires on it, im thinking about smokin the tires that are on it now, do you guys have any recomendations on how to go about doing this, im talking smoky ----, like staying in one spot, like using chalk blocks on the back tires with the ebrake? some sort of cooking oil or bleach under the front tires? what rpm should i dump the clutch, or should i just try to start driving in that spot?

thanks guys
jeff

I hope you don't blow is ------- motor. He'd be pissed, especialy when he seen the burnout marks and the rubber all over the fenders and bumpers. Have fun with that. I hope he doesn't kick your ass over it. ::)

Re:how to do good burnout?

we usually wet the tires with regualar water, start the burnout with the ebrake all the way back, and when the tires start getting dry have someone start spraying wd-40 to really get some clouds quick, or if you use carb fluid and a long burnout you can sometimes get a little fire too

yeah or pour motor oil on your tires

just crank on the ebrake and let the clutch out at like 4500-5000 rpm.. dont rev it way up either. some cars smoker more then others who knwos what itll do

tape it though

its pretty pathetic when you have to put oil on your tires to do a massive burnoff

i was producing nice burnouts (in the burnout box at the track) with the brake as far as it would go up, and letting the clutch out at ~3grand and bringin her up to 5k and holding it there till i couldnt see ::) it was fun ;D

bleach, bleach is crazy. we did it on my buddies modified neon (yes, neon) and he ripped grooves into the pavement. and btw, as long as his clutch is good, make sure u shift into sencond, it will get the tires going even faster and create more smoke. but trust me, bleach is the ----.

Re:how to do good burnout?

after doing new calapers / pads / rotors on my buddy's car i put some extra brake fluid on his tires and it was slick as ----.. he couldnt stop and almost ran into someone's lawn it was funny as ----. i bet that would work good for a burnout but all the burnout competitions i have been to use bleach.

the ones i do in my mazda truck dont need any fluid, just brakes... that thing only has 90 hp you better be able to do a burnout wo/something on the ground, i did the same thing with my stock tires before i put my 18s on... should have got a video.

jack the front of your car up and get the tires going about 60mph and then have a friend lower the car. its very sad that if you need to put stuff on your tires to do a burn out. ::) but what do i know i cant do one on my car

ok u want a burn out? go into reverse roll back so you are like at a jog. shift into second, rev it to redline, feather the clutch out hold the e brake. I garrentee taht it will be the best burnout you ever did.
