Re: how did you mount your laptop in your car

you should hide the mounts under the carpet, and just have the part where the pins go in, stick out.

that would just be too much work and not functional, this is no show car.

these clips make it easy to get in and out, but it stays nicely if you match the holes right

plenty of clearance for the passenger, i also welded some of the flat metal perpundicular to add extra support as it was kinda flimsy at the start

You are the man... Thanks for the picts.. does it wobble at all under acceleration? also what is that? 1/8" algle iron you used?

yeah i believe its 1/8 angle, it wobbles just a little, but under acceleration, you shouldn't be looking at your screen so it's not a big deal. it just depends on how well you make it, you'll be able to find ways to make it better

Made mine with a flat platform of aluminum with a bent edge on it, a strap acroos to hold the laptop down, the a 1" square tube to the floor, 90deg turn under the seat where the 1"Sq slides into a 1.25 square tube. I'll post pic if I ever get to it. Nice part is it slide in and out of the car in about 2 sec. and when it's not there you see no mounting bracket or anything.
