Most thieves are the people you'd least expect. Most of the time it's friends.. my 2 "best friends" stole my system out of my car and trashed my interior the last day of my senior year.

if you are up for a stake out. park your car with a few friends make sure your cars look pretty nice. sorta park next to each other in a place known for theives make sure not to many people can see it but noticable for theives. hide and wait durning prime time. make sure you give them some bait. leave a laptop in the back window. or some random parts on the seat. now you have yourself a pretty good hit up spot for the theives a few quick cars to rob and some nice stuff they can see. hide yourself so they cant see you but you will be able to catch up to them maybe have a car close to you so you can hop in and chase them. bring some cheap cuffs or something to tie them up to a post. only after you have beat them so its easy to tie them up. (prior to all of this buy some gallon jugs and have you and your friends **** in them daily untill full) use those jugs now as he is tied up and already beat up some and pour your urine on him to fresh him up. threatin him with some nice words saying if he ever steals again or comes for revenge he wont be lucky next time. then its up to the locals what they want to do with him.

best way to deal with thieves, is give it to them before they take it. That way they didn't steal it and you don't get jacked.
