All of which are cheap as ---- and available at a pep boys. like steve said, once it gets back from the machine shop, your piston to wall should be set already, and stock sized crank and stock bearings shouldnt need to be plastigauged (however this is how i think i spun a bearing the first time) but i do it as a measure of safety. Ive never seen one out of spec. bottom line, if you managed to engineer a turbo kit for your honda, you can build a engine. My ---- has been running 18psi with frequent trips to the track and 6k FTL's for months now. If something was gonna let go, it woulda happened by now.

What the ---- does a KS have to do with tuning an engine so it doesn't detonate? Honduh ECU ignores the KS past 5K and during any WOT event. As for tuenaring... on a dyno like it was tuenared... if you find minimum best timing you have a 4-5 degree cushion between you and the beginning of high-freq detonation. No KS needed! So, yeah, what the ---- does a KS have to do with tuning an engine so it doesn't detonate? PS - you need to IM me the green key resistor trick, I need it for a friend's car. You have my word that I won't pass it on, and I'm not going to try to sell anything on eGay because I'm a devoted follower of Shipping 102. |
