under hard accel i get a hint of oil smoke out of the exhaust, wasnt sure if it was the engine or the turbo.
well busted out the compression tester.

everything looks good to me, the compression seems a little low, but the numbers are pretty close.

be careful, my buddies dropped to about 160 across the board, pulled hard as ----, and he blew his ringlands, the car was running fine

it's called blow by retard. honda crankcase ventilation sucks, especially under boost. get the endyn breather tank kit to properly ventilate your crank case. the numbers are kind of low, but also consistent which leads me to believe you didn't do the compression test properly (i.e. normal operating temperature, wot throttle). p.s. you're a fag.

Like projecteg said, it sounds a lot like blow by, happens when the crank case builds pressure.
Ideally the crank case should be under vacuum.

compression is low. maybe blow by, but all the cylinders are pretty even so unless you got ---- rings in all 4 cyl i doubt that . do a leak down test.

coldsex, your compression tester is as far off as the boost gauge you sold to Stevemode, Numbers around there are fine as long they are consistent. Stop watching if you burn oil or not, and you'll stop worrying...

what a coincidence. noticed heavy blowby in my friend's turbo b16.

compression test read 190-190-200-190. still pulls hard, but he went through 4 liters of oil in about 1500km.

so after he stopped swearing, we made fun of him and made him drive us to get food.

moral is, pony up, drop your purse, and do what you have to do.

you guys are retarded, so kevin i hear through the grapevine your ---- smokes too huh.... the smoke is damn near negligable. ima try to vent the crankcase better. this thing runs like an animal so im keep beatin on it. frank, your the one who will never go fast. you dont even know what fast is.

The actual compression numbers aren't as important as the consistency altogether. Look for more than 10% difference between cylinders. Yours all look really good actually.

C1's and C5's have a tendency to burn a bit of oil as it is. I don't think it's much to worry about.

my motor doesnt smoke all the time frank, you ------. only under full boost and hard accel. idle, part throttle vac, and lower psi boost no smoke....

185 is where gsr's normally test at, Its rare to see one any higher, even a low milage one, i would say your motor is damn healthy
