Anyone going to it in Chi-Town? Ive been going the past 5 years and had my car in it the past 2. They moved it up a few months this year which sucks. Im not gonna make it this year due to a HUGE party. :8

car shows arent all bad, but those hyped up ones liek HIN seem to be all rice....... low down local car shows are pretty cool they serve as insperation for new fab projects

That's like one they have here in PA...big import show every year for Carlisle. Nothing but rice most of the time in the show fields, but the non-judged classes alot of times have some interesting ----. I'm goin down this year to reprazent HMT to all the misled ricers ;D

Tell me about it. I called them up last week to see if they were going to let campers stay on grounds like they used to, but they told me no, it's not allowed anymore. Suckass...used to be some sweet party action goin down. Although this year they're supposed to have some big after-party at the one hotel/convention center...booze, chix, lady tribe spinnin tunes, playboy models...yeah...sounds like it's turnin into HIN :P

The last car show I went to was like in '01. After that there isn't really anything unique that you're going to see, so everyone goes over the top lowrider mexican on thier civics and then you feel robbed for paying to get in.

The only car shows around here are classic car shows, which I love. Every now and then, there's a small "sport compact" section that makes me puke a little bit in my mouth.

A small meet was held in Busey Woods in Shaumburg as the anti-HIN meet. Only a select hardcore few showed up but it was a good time.

HIN is ------- gay... and if you are in for the ladies thats pretty sad too. Just a big cocktease. Heard the cars were all pretty lame, as expected, and they didn't give away as much ----. Maybe people are realizing that HIN is a waste of money.

Where the hell is Chi-town? Doesn't every state have a Chi-town? haha (no clue). I'll probably be going to the one here in Boston. I have a few friends who are in it so I'll show the support. :y

That's right....A few years back, don't remember how, I got the hookup of distributing the flyers with the coupon for the show. Well I get a free ticket for my work. I don't pass any of them out really, maybe 10-20 of the 2000 they send, but I get a free ticket. Only reason I still go, because its free. The cars are usually gay, there's a few that are decent. Some girls are ok, and then the free stuff.

But when you are in the car/part/install business you need to know what people want, even if you think its gay, money talks.

A friend of mine went, he said there was an Evo there with a turbo Porsche motor making like 800hp. Interesting, but not enough for me to drive to Chicago for.

Yeah, I didnt end up going but Im wondering if AMS had thier 900 HP Evo there since their based in Illinois. ? the highest hp evo yet.

If your gonna go to a car show at mc cormick place at least make it the world of wheels I'm ashamed that my city would have something as gay as hot import nights

Whenever I talk to people who went to HIN its always like... yea it was even gayer than last year. Or- I wasn't that impressed.

Why do people still go???? Show cars are lame anyway. Esspecially when you have to pay 25 bucks to see em. You're better off just going to a track event and even running your own car for that money.

WoW is pretty cool, a friend's band played there one year and he had some cool pics. I might check it out this year.

Last show i went to was Carlisle at the Harriburg Farm Show complex, show was OK, party at the motel owned it though. Thats the only reason that i'll go to another show.

hahahaahah corny but funny nevertherless. As James hedfield once said. Sad but true. I used to go to the Chicago HIN since the midwest is pretty boring. Hell Walmart makes me tingle inside.

I moved from Orlando Florida, to a small town only about 30 minutes away, holly crap, girls dress up and get all fixed up just to go to Wal-mart, the only thing to do I guess. I think its hilarious.

Harrisburg show was gaysauce...even the hotel parties were ok, nuthin special...hopefully this year is better.
