Default A hoslet hx35?

The guy thats selling this turbo seems to know nothing about it. I talked to him on the phone and he couldnt really answer any of my questions. I kept getting the reply " im selling for a friend ", so i figured someone on here might know what it is. Is this a hx35 or?

I was told there is NO shaft play from side to side or in and out.

Another question......
If i bought this it would go on my stock dohc zc for now untill i build my other zc block.
So i know it want spool untill late in the rpm range. Has anybody had one of these or something equivalent to this on their ZC? If so, how was it?

The HX35 have pretty big ex. housings unless u blocked off one of the scrolls it would suck.

i thought that split port helps the turbo spool better, like the MR2 uses the same CT26 as the supra but runs a split port for spooling. or maybe its the other way around.

I was thinking of blocking one side of the twin scroll housing off

Well the kid called me back a minute ago and said he would take a 100 bucks for this thing.
Thats damn hard to pass up!

It is way to big for a ZC.That being said that price is great and I will give you $150 making yourself a quick 50 bones.

I dont know ive thought about just buying it to resell for more, but ive actually been searching on the intraweb and have found that there is actually idots out there that have used them on their sohc engines.

I might just try using it and blocking one side of the twin scroll housing off and see what happens.

Anybody know what this thing is

it wont do you any good with out the correct manifold though 1&4 + 2&3 runners paired to gether,

i believe the comp wheel is 62mm, no telling what size the exhaust is with out calling holset with the numbers listed on the comp housing. bullseye power sells replacement turbine housings that are smaller but they bolt up to DSM manifolds only. for $100 i'd still pick it up

not hx35, perhaps hx40 or an older h1x series diesel turbo.

that'll spool ok on zc just block one side of turbine housing, and run open DP, and no filter = no restriction.

PS make sure you're hella rich at high rpms

Compressor looks like my HY, but the split tang housing is indicative of HX35. It wouldn't be very fun on a ZC, light to light sucks *** with a giant exhaust housing, it's only fun on the highway.
