You sold the car as is right? offer him some of your freetime to bleed that line and thats it. If you know the tranny was fine, then im sure it is. So just take care of what you know needs to be taken care of and go from there. If hes far away or something, tell him to fix that first by itself and see that the tranny is fine.

I already finished half the ---- on my time.

When he said he wanted the car (it was still apart)...I told him I would finish what I could finish ( at that time, it was the shift linkage, axles, bleed the line) until the day we had to go transfer the title. (we had a deadline due to the triangle of sales that as happening) I had finished everything except the line, he took it like that.

and no, no bill of sale was issued. it was all word of mouth. he does state though he bought the car "as-is, but with the understanding it was the clutch line"

and call him charlie
That made me spit my lunchable out at 120am lol.......I didnt read past that, but if you were thinking at the time you would have made him sign a bill of sale, then you would be covered......I think you really know if you told him it was as-is or not....if you did then dont stress..

im stressin because ive never had anyone come at me like this for anything ive ever sold. I talked to a lawyer and they said they couldnt disclose any legal advise over the phone, but he did laugh at the situation. I talked to the people in charge of me, and he said "---- 'em".

did you try to put it back in by picking it up? could have gptten fucked up if you bent the selector arm in to hard maybe bent a shiftfork or somthing. As long as you dont depress the pedal on a toyota when you take the slave cylinder off you can get away without bleediing it, ive done it a few times in the past month. did you put the clutch on backwords? did you grease the throw out bearing? on the inside ofthe race there is a little lip, and if you dont pack the inside of the race with greese it will get cocked sideways and get cought. also if theres to much play in the pedal, you might have needed to set the diaphram height on the presure plate.
