Honduh Rebel?
These things worth a damn?
I want a cheap bike. I'm not experienced enough to feel comfortable spending 6-10k on a sport bike, yet. These things are cheap as ---- and I would have much less luck killing myself on the puny little 250cc engine.
Figured I could ride one of these for now and later sell it for a street bike.
How slow are they?
Are they pieces of ----?

I would suggest a ninja 250 if you want a 250, they are just as cheap as the rebel, faster, and more sportbike like. I started on one and would recommend it to anyone. They are cheap on insurance I pay 120/year, and good on gas. Also get good gear because most likely you will drop it at least once(dosen't have to be at speed to count), and it won't matter if your on a cheap bike with good gear. Also always wear the gear all of it, even if it's hot outside etc. Overall even if you get tired of it being slow(it won't feel that way for about 6months), you will be happy it was cheap. My first year my bike got pushed over 7 times, by ******** at my apartment. If it had been a brand new 600 I would have been in a world of ---- to fix it, but as it is I spent 50$ to repair everything.

two of my best friend s hti up the local bike dealership cause they just had to have bikes. well one left with a 250 rebel and the other left with a 250 ninja and niether left with their *****. They straight up give you a trial sample of midol and a tube of vagisil with yoru purchase as long as you buy a helmet from them.
the rebel looks like a toy when its parked next to a real bike, it looks miniature and the ninja couldnt really scare me and i dont ride bikes at all. Dont waste your money, you'll be on the bike a total of about 2 hours before you hate it and want more.

I'd prefer a nice 600cc sport bike, but really don't feel like paying the price for something that will probably get fucked up. Undecided.

I didnt think the prices for a used one were that bad but sinec i havent really looked i cant be certain but my boy paid like 2500 for a brand new 250. I couldnt imagine a used 600 being too much more as long as you dont mind 5 years old or whatever.
