i like it and i like the element...enough that i bought one. the element drives excellent and my opinion is that for the money you can't find a better suv...hands down. and the stereo may be the best stock stereo i have heard.

i like 'em.
the tail lights are cool, the headlights i like too (but nobody else i know likes them, whatever get different headlights, i like them)
the overall shape of the vehicle is kind of top-heavy looking, needs big mudders or something, and a lift kit.
then it would look sweet. (also, it needs some sort of metal protuding from the front with a winch on it)
a few minor outback customizations and it would actually be a sweet ride.
i think a headache rack would look pretty hype on it too, with some bigassed lights!

Perfect if you're a hippy & like to smoke....
I've seen some Elements at some of the shows I've been to that look pretty damn good.
They're usually lowered with nice big wheels, massive audio systems & tricked out interiors.
When I look at the Element, I see a blank canvas.

Well you made it sound like it was some gay *** motor or something, The "hippy van" element doesnt need anything with alot of power, with all the speed and meth the people are on that are driving it, they think they are hauling *** anyways.
The EcoTec I4 is a great engine, just wish honda had a program like what GM did, and you would see some impressive #'s as well.
Honda still remains the fastest Sport compact car in the world.
back on the subject of trucks,
I think if honda was to build a "real truck" it could be nice. They dont have much experience with V8 engines, other than formual style V8's. Its scary for big companies to release a brand new engine in a brand new car for the first time. Nissan had eariler attempts with V8's in Infiniti's (q45) to get some of the V8 engine basics down. I got money, on the Titan being truck of the year.

No, but this honda remains the fastest sport compact car in the world.. (thats what I was refering too) (yes faster than the TT RWD Celicas by turbonetics, and the heavily powered RX7's and supras)

And the honda goes 120,000 miles with no major problems, and the SRT4 goes for 20k and breaks... Yes the last time i was at the track the stock SRT4 blew up. stock air box and everyhting.
