Well i had a chance to have a lexus sc400 , love it but WAY WAY to much to turbo it, like 10k O.O So im thinking of going with a honda. It cand be a rex *cries* since ill have to drive some folks once in a while. So if its acura or honda, tell me what you want me to get! price limit is about $5.5k

you are not allowed to buy my hatchback if you plan on putting anything but a B or D series in there. H series are for accords and preludes. I don't think they belong in civics

That car is cool, I don't think an H was necessary nor do I think the H is by any means the reason why that car is cool. Top Fuel Japan did a Mid engine B18C5 sol a while ago, I think that car was ------- sick.

Anyway, my reasoning for my H-series resentment...

B16......160hp....100hp/liter
B18c1....180?hp...100hp/liter
B18c5....~200hp...111.11hp/liter
B16b.....~195?hp..121.875hp/liter!!!!
H22a.....200hp....90hp/liter

Does that tell you anything at all? 2.2 liters making 200hp? that's ------- bullshit in my mind. And then all that ------- work to get it in your civic? What for? You could make more power with ANY other motor when you compare things cost to cost. so what ------- reason is there to have an H in a civic? Maybe there is something I dont get.

Oh, the b16b is only 170, not 195, but still nice anyways. But heck, what about an lsvtec, what do those hybrids put out, never really had a clear answer.

Well what about the torque? I bet the H22 has more torque, and afterall, there is no replacement for displacement. ;) What about the cost of the H22 swap vs B18c5 swap? There is a noticable difference. H22's are fairly cheap compared to C5's.

I'm not saying my weapon of choice is an H22, but they aren't bad motors. I would rather stick with my D's. :-\

the b16b is NOT 170 hp, the B16a2 is.

i just don't think the H is a reasonable swap for a civic, there are too many problems for too little gain. BTW a B16 is cheaper then an H22, usually by alot. (enough to take the rest of the money and almost have a turbo kit for it most of the time)

If I had 5.5k to spend on a honda these would be my picks in order:

1. Hatch (either EG or EK, I love them both :-*)
2. GSR ;)
3. Civic coupe :)
4. crx :P

5. NOT an Accord :P
6. NOT a Del Sol, sorry just a personal preference because I HATE them :-X'

Again this is just what I would spend my money on... Just my personal likes and dislikes, NOT trying to offend anyone because I apprecaite others' rides! ;)

with 5500 id probably pick up a 93 acura legend. Those cars are sweet as hell and still have engine potential. They look luxery and have a nice engine to hook up.

Get the Lexus...but look for a SC300 instead of the SC400. The 1UZFE V8 motors are strong but modifying them will be a biatch! While the SC300 having the same motor as a NA supra 2JZ will have the same potential as its big brother the TT Supra 2JZ-GTE.

Or a 4th gen EF Civic. They grow on you.
they're practical....cheap parts...a lot of them. And can swap about anything in them....and they don't look to bad either ...lowered with some nice rims ;D

Yeah....When I'm looking for one.
But I need money first.
I saw a sunny GTi-R for sale...they asked $10.000 for it .
It's from 1992....4WD SR20DET and what not.....full fledged rally car.
When I'm done fixing the civic I might sell it and get a sunny GTi like in the pic. But I'm getting to attached to the civic :'(

i'm gonna get flamed for this but a glhs can be had for like 3k.

if you're staying honda i say go for the early hatch/coupe with a d16- 2k, throw in a new bottom end- 1k and spend the rest on a ghetto suspention and a hmt- 2k
spend the other 500 on cootch.
