Honda Transmission Gear Ratios...
 

I was curious if anyone had a link to a comparaitve chart of the tranny ratios. Which are the shortest gears and what not. I know LS sucks and GSR is great, but what about a 5th gen EX compared to a 6th gen EX? Thanks once again fellas!!! ;) ;D

Thanks Jon. My main question was is the z6 tranny better than the y8? Is there a better D-Series tranny than my stock 6th Gen D16Y8?

Correct me if I'm wrong mista bone, but didn't you tell me once before that the trannys are basically the same, but the Y8 tranny is slightly better because of the stronger shift forks?

Y8 = stronger forks that are prone to BENDING, when they bend you LOOSE 2 gears.

Z6 = cast forks that break, but you can still drive it.

Yet to find anyone harder on shift forks than me. WHen I was drag racing and autoxing I was hurting 2 per year. Replace one over the winter and one mid season.

Ran one Y8, bent 3-4 fork, wiped out the gears.

1-2-5 is NOT fun.
