Sometimes flaming people is funny, but a lot of the time it is retarded, like on Honda-tech, everyone flames everyones else for doing anything. It is so freaking annoying. Anybody else had similar experience with HT?

Lol, I got flamed on HT at first....I think it was a given for my personality....

Theyre smart though, all I do is lurk/read. Its the best site if you want to know cars.

i dont blame them half the time...its not a place for newbies to ask questions, its a place for newbies to READ (dont hurt here either) before they start asking stupid ------ questions. ---- i read the CRX Resorce/Honda-tech and other ---- for a year before i had even 10 posts...

some people get it bad on HT when they are new and ask questions i sort of feel sorry for them...

i can't believe all the wasted energy people put into talking ---- to someone when they could of simply answered the question in the first thread and ended the post right there.

newbs get flammed because they are newbs. thats just what hapenes. if you get flammed it probably because you asked a stupid question like how much power will I make,what kind ot track times am looking at and fast will I go with a revhard kit on a hf motor on mh drag slicks, with the hack.

It wasn't me who got flamed, I think I am relatively careful about posting on HT. The info is great but yeah I was talking about the kills section where if you miss a comma they jump on your back.

the gayest thing is when you get flamed for spelling or punctuation. it's a ------- car forum not a grammar forum. i don't even look on there, i think the majority of them are cock knockers, i just don't feel like i belong there :'(

I really think the main reason why people piss on newbs asking simple questions... is the fact that some of these simple questions... could have been figured out for themselves, If only they had done a little reading and not have been lazy and wanted all the answers without even trying.

But some of these people are all like... "yeah i got a d16z6. how do i make my car turbo"

Everytime I see this I think to myself... Poor Newb... all he had to do was not be lazy and read the TECH section... and that would have helped... but now his lazyness has forced him to buy a flame-proof suit.

About the bad grammer... "shet we al cantt speel fro shti."

But sometimes its so bad you dont know what the ---- they are trying to ask...

i like honda tech FI and drag racing..

there are quite a few smart guys on there, i just ignore the idiots.

also u gotta know what to post, if you try to post something new and innovative they aint down with that. :P only thing i dislike is honda tech doesnt think outside the box like we do..

they don't seem to appreciate jokes there as much as here. like if i posted, "I wanna run 5" exhuast pipes through the floor of my trunk and two tips out the trunk lid to use my trunk as a large rsonator" there, they'd go off on me about how impossible it is and about carbon monoxide poisoning or some ----. Here someone would just laugh and make a lamer post back, or at most leave it alone.

I make a point to only read on honda-tech. If I really have to I PM someone who knows there ----. Mista bone is pretty cool about answering tranny questions. A lot of bullshit drama gets played out on there. If you aren't a noob it's ok I guess. I get sick of hearing about how great people's Greddy kits are. Not that they aren't good but I HMT can be so much better.

There are a lot of douche bags on honda-tech but there are cool people as well. Personally i think its the admins faults for not making enough stickies. If they just setup an articles section where they can show how to install DSM injectors...and do a run down on BOVs and WG's and such...it would have a lot less stupid questions and a lot more tech questions. so all in all it comes down to the people who run the site suck ass. There are a lot of ------- genius people on that site that answer questions really well but they get lost in the search engine...just ------- setup a section like they did on this site....then ppl can click on the tech ---- read artcles and ask questions after...i mean most commonly asked questions are "are ss autocrome mani's good?" "what kind of setup should i use on my car?" and "should i buy a kit or do a homemade job"....if they just setup templates...like if you have a B18b1 this is a setup: and list what someone did and how much they spent...it would be more than helpful....im done with my rant...sorry

I have several issues with H-T:

1.) The search function is ------- retarded/halfassed. They get pissed at re-posts and repitive answers/questions, yet Dustin keeps the content search feature disabled. Whats more the title search is broken too and finds a lot of erronious(sp) results.

2.) Just about every mod or admins is a sponsor/selling a service.

3.) My BIGGEST beef (working on the pgmfi project a lot this really burns my ass), anything ECU related thats free.. the poster is usually banned/nuked at the request of Hondata staff or some other juiced in fucker. Thats total horse ----.

4.) Being smart/finding new ways to make power is shunned. I remember 3-4 years ago the beginning of the ls/b20 vtec's and how many people were trash talking them... now look at the scene.

The site on the whole has a lot of good archived info, but you REALLY gotta dig for it sometimes.

I like HT,I've learned a lot from it, but I can only take so much. And I don't appreciate them condescending on those who like to DIY.
Sure it's great if you have tons of money to go buy all sorts of parts and pay a shop to install them for you (not saying that everyone on HT does that) but you get a sort of satisfaction from doing things for yourself. I like to work with my hands a lot (I'm sure I just set myself up for a joke), and even if I had a million dollars, I would still do most stuff myself!

Besides, paying your own tuition doesn't leave that much left over for cars, you've gotta DIY!!

Oh and I like JDM stuff as much as everyone else, but every damn car on HT looks the same!!

The mods are the main reason I stay away as much as possible. I got points deducted for pointing out a scammer. The scammer came forward and called me a liar and I guess that was enough information for the mod so I got points deducted and my posts were deleted along with a nice little PM convo with the dickhead mod. Why the ---- would someone lie about being scammed? Of course the scammer is going to deny it and reverse it. I'm stil out $250+ and the scammer is free to scam again. ------- retard. I don't want to talk about Honda-Tech. There is alot of useful info and a lot of knowledgeable people, but the admins/mods suck. I asked for help from one of the admins and that didn't seem to do anything. I still got fucked. I think the mod was ------- the scammer in the ass behind closed doors. >:(

If you ever need help from a admin on HT, let me know. I happen to be fairly well aquinted with one. He just last week banned a guy for me and his ipblock too who sold me a bad 14b and told me to get stuffed (guy with a lot of posts/vouches too!)

This is a funny thread because I just signed up for honda-tech like a few months ago. I used to just go there and do searches and research, but I thought if was time for me to post. I got flamed on like my very first post. I was bashing on greddy kits, but hey he asked what people thought and I gave my opinion. Within about 2 seconds somebody was all over my ass about it. It was pretty funny.

Andrew, i only know of that happening to Blake/Uberasshat, and he DID deserve it. I've walked around there with impunity making smartass Hyundaidata (love you, Doug, *kiss*) comments and never had a problem. I'd be more than happy to lend my $0.02 in any threads you care to send me links to - you have my AIM. I'm a vain jackass who likes telling people how stupid they are, and demonstrating it publicly.

While there are a number of ignorant high dolla $bling$ spec ballas there, whom I can't stand, some of them are actually OK and will meet you halfway on some things. Mase, for example... if I met him IRL I don't know if it would be a fistfight or a session of binge drinking and skirt chasing. Probably both. Of all the mods I've run across, Art actually seems to try to be fair and impartial despite the good ole buddy network they have set up there.
