iit seems honda knows that they need a turbo to really get there engines where they should be.
a 165hp, turbo-charged jet-ski....
http://powersports.honda.com/watercr...lId=ARX1200T24

check out the specs on both... :o

these liks are directly to honda USA. from www.honda.com

I build boats for a living, I've seen plenty of those 225's, but not the jet ski.

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

Doesn't the jetski engine looks like a smaller packaged k series with a small snail stuck to it?

3sge 08-14-2004 08:23 PM

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

there bike motor makes more HP per leitre than that jetski

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

Well it was posted as just the engine and the link mentioned it was meant for water only. The engine really did look like a barebones k series with a turbo strapped.

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

YEAH LETS PUT A 1200 CC ENGINE INTO A CAR!!! GOOD IDEA!!

only small displacement motor id put in a car would be the 1300 busa motor bored out to like 1500 cc's so its d sized built and boosted. it would be so ------- awesome to see someones face if you just took off slow and went to like 13000 rpms with out shifting.

theyd be like WHOA. UBER VTECH

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

with the right tranny, it would be awsome...a 160hp motor...what would be the problem with it?

1337 08-14-2004 09:01 PM

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

well, my point with the thread, honda knows they need a turbo...

what im thinking, most factory vehicles that come with turbos can always turn the boost up. usally they come with 6psi or 8 psi, but could be cranked a little higher. I wonder what the specs with the internals are, the pistons, the rods, all of that...i also wonder how the ECU is programed.(the specifics)(sp?)maybe im gonna have to go pick a brain or two at the dealer...

Turbo Rick made over 600bhp on his busa engine, but he had drivetrain problems. Engine is installed in a land speed racer.

WTF! Where the hell have I been! I have never seen or even heard of that! That looks like a bad ass car! Why arent those swaps offered in the states?! that would make a bad ass 1gen swap!

I still wonder about all the internals and ECU mods, maping, and everything on the turbo jet-ski motor.

I am finding NOTHING when searching...

Re:honda really knows how to do it...

That Honda City is still slow as ----, even with the turbo. It's cool as hell though.

Those Honda turbo Jet-skis are ------- sweet and they are only $10,000
