Honda Powered Rough Terrain Vehicle

So, it's another boring Sunday (and it's fuckng snowing again....------- Ohio weather) and I was watching Xtreme 4X4 and they were talking about rock crawling and stuff like that. So they show this little vehicle you can buy all ready to rock the rocks and I thought it was pretty cool and then they pan down to the motor area and state that it is a 4 banger Honda motor, it appeared to be an LS motor or some other B series. I cannot find any pics of the motor on their website but here is a link to the vehicle. I though it was pretty interesting and if it is a repost.......I don't giva ----, I stil thought it was cool O0

Bah, I did not even notice that it said 2.0L, I would say it is prolly the CRV motor then, because it is also mated to an auto trans. I figure the CRV motor is more readily available to buy new.

It was actually a pretty potent little package and very agile. He pulled it up to a brick wall, gave it gas and took it almost vertical on the wall. I imagine that thing is light. Turbo would be crazy fun though.

yeah they were showing those at a car show we had here not too long ago but the ones i saw had a sohc zc. they were awesome all 4 link suspension with sway-a-way coilovers and they're still supposed to do 70. i dont think they were the exact ones cause these ones didnt hang so low to the ground and you could get them with like f150 style bodies and ----.

while i dont like it ill beg to differ, that things well worth 25 grand.

things that suck about it:
stone age style chassis/cage design, things bulky and odd shaped.
open front diff, wtf is that crap?
wondering if it even has an atlas t-case or not

rock buggies used in competition range from 45 grand and up for build costs. Trailready, which is the team my brother in law competes with just sold their old buggy that was used for 2 years for 45K. Atlas transfer cases and high pinion dana60's locked up with chromoly axles and disc brakes total up fast. not to mention the chromoly chassis.

walker evans sported one of the coolest buggies in 2004 to me. it was built by shannon campbell and campbell enterprises, and instead of sporting the big v8 like most do, he had a 2.2 chevy ecotec 4 cylinder with a turbo kit.
