Re:Honda MTF
i read that you are supposed to use 10w30 motor oil.. call a dealer and ask what they would use. :)

Re:Honda MTF
Yeah I read that as well, wich is why I used it. I cant seem to think of anything else that may have caused it, I dont beat my car.

Re:Honda MTF

Re:Honda MTF

Re:Honda MTF

Re:Honda MTF
I've got 115K miles on my engine/tranny and I've used synthetic oil in both since the engine hit 3k miles back in 95.My gears have never made noise(grinding noises)or had trouble shifting.I hammer the ---- out my tranny all the time and to this day I have never had anny trouble using synthetic in it.A dealer tech back in 95 told me to use straight 30 weight in the tranny.I dont know if you had problems couse you used 10-30.Maybe that could be a problem.

Re:Honda MTF
it only cost 15 bucks at my dealer
|
Re:Honda MTF
---- I just called my dealer, and he quoted me $4.55 a quart ;D

Re:Honda MTF
Honda MTF has some moly blends in it too, makes the trannies shift nicer and last longer. Try it, its good stuff

Re:Honda MTF
castrol syntec full synthetic 10-30...over 20k and no probs...that's what honda recommends if honda mtf isn't available. works just fine and i beat the ---- out of mine.
