Re: Honda Fit
---- a Fit! 3 cylinder Justy or Metro FTMFFV! You can just outright buy the thing for what a shiny turd Fit will cost you each month. Who the ---- needs to look cool in their get around car? Bring your bitch out on the weekend for some flogging and baby the daily beater for reliability and MPG.

I've had my eye on a bone-stock HF that's been sitting in a yard for years. Once I get some money, it's going to be mine

Re: Honda Fit
I would get an older, ugly and trusty econo car that gets good gas mileage. I would take the 300/mo pmt and get a nice whip that you keep the miles and salt off of. Intrest and full coverage insurance make these "new economy cars" not so economy. That is why you are buying one right?

Hmm, to sum up this thread so far...

My thoughts exactly.
We do.
VW high pressure pumps suck. VW auto transmissions suck. Good luck finding a used tdi anything that isnt ridiculously overpriced.
Yes.
This thread.
Point of the matter is there really arent any newer cars that get GREAT gas mileage, the days of the HF are gone. Your choices are hybrid or fix up an old fuel sipper. Or just conform to the masses and follow suit on the semi-noneconomical economy car (corolla, fit, xb, etc.)
