Ok, so I decide to change headgasket/timing belt before trading the car, since i had another head that's in better condition to put on too. Everything was going fine until we got to the crank pulley.

First of all, ----------ing 97 civic has two brackets covering the flywheel cover. One of the bolts I can't get to because it's right above the exhaust piping. I decided to just take off the two bolts that went through the flywheel cover. Well, one came off with a little work, the other ended up getting stripped by the socket because it wouldn't come off. ----------er.

So, I just pried the damn cover open and bent it all to hell. After eating one screwdriver and a few attempts, we got one wedged in there good.

Started on the crank pulley bolt. Broke a ratchet. ----. Used another and cracked the socket down the middle. ----. Had another 17mm and had to use a coupler on that, but also tore the bumper and plastic ---- on the bottom, and windshield wiper fluid ---- out the way so I didn't have to use as many extensions. ------- coupler broke. So now I'm going to buy some more ------- 17mm sockets.

Anyone have some tips on removing this? Out of the many times I've had to take them off before, it's never been this much trouble.

Anyone have a clue how I can get the ------- timing belt back on without removing the crank pulley?

------- honda.

Impact wrench and/or the crank pulley holding tool.

Or you could just cut the new timing belt to get it around the crank and glue it back together. :1

I used to use a breaker bar. and then I would give it a good hit with a 5 lbs lil sledge to get the bolt to break loose.

then I bought an impact.

Dumb ---- go kill yourself.

I have a breaker bar and was using that with the ratchet that broke.

Go ---- yourself before you die.

Oh and dumbass, if you don't have the crank pulley tool one of the "suggested" ways of stopping the pulley from turning is to stick something in the flywheel. Go to hell.

Btw it's patience, not patients. "patients" are like the little boys you send to the doctor with *** herpes.

wow you obviously either don't know what a ratchet is or don't know what a breaker bar is. In either case you just made you self look incredibly stupid.

Furthermore, what you are doing is very easy and you are a sally if you can't figure it out
