I did mine with hot glue, just melted and let it float in, hardens a hell of a lot stiffer than the window weld, havent run the car so I cant speak from expeierience or from a vibration standpoint but I read a thread with 5+ people using it that loved it

Its a hell of a lot cleaner than that though, came out mint, little high temp paint and it should hold up fine, there way absolutely no play by hand

Dang. GOOD CALL!!! I'll get mine in or Rudebwoy can tell you (I did 2 mounts) and we'll compare on which works the best. 7000 miles seems more like it. We should compare the too though. Hot glue is cheap too. Wow, good call man..

The best thing i found to use was this body panel adhesive that i used to get from a bodyshop down the road. it's some kind of epoxy, but hardens real good and never leaves air pockets either. I used it on my friend's 92 Integra GSR about 4 years ago, and it's still in there and still looks like the day i did it.

they take a long time to harden up.

bottom line, you coulda spend a tiny bit more, got inserts, stayed clean, and not have to wait for anything to dry.

I did mine with some eurethane stuff. I just used a piece of cardboard on the back to get it flat. Then left em sitting on top of the furnace for a few days. They worked well.

If I had to do it again, I think that I will use the real windwo weld.

I never understood doing this when you can get a set of Prothane engine mount bushings kit (Energy only has the 2 side mounts, Prothane has all 4 available) for ~$20... took about an hour install time for all 4 and they made a huge difference. The downside was everything in my car rattling when under 1.5k rpm but owell.

adding stronger material to a stock mount will more than likely result in a failure of the weakest part which is now the stock rubber

my mounts lasted about a year of abuse.. when i say abuse, drive on toledo, ohio's roads.. i raced on them and daily drove

the biggest difference i noticed is when i filled the last mount (the rear mount). after i did this mount i got quite a bit of vibration, i had the engine mount, the front engine mount (by the ac) the tranny mount and the front tranny mount.. and the rear, aka every mount you could fill, i filled.

it was worth it for me. i liked it, but if i would have spent the money for new full poly mounts, i dont think i would have been dissappointed. the only problem i had was the rubber on the engine mount tore

also, this is a stupid little fact.

on my d16z6 i had an integra gsr motor mount. why? i dont know. but they will fit if you use the right casted part to bolt to the engine. i noticed this when i went to change the motor mount (because it ripped) and a d series would not fit ...the gsr mount has more material to it, which could be a small upgrade if you were getting picky

I just wanted to try the window weld idea. Inserts cost a little more, had to wait, wasn't HomeMade (which I like doing). I don't know. We'll see how they turn out. Car should be running again this weekend so I'll have an update.

Welp, Dad and I JUST finished the clutch and all in and went for a little test drive with the new mounts. I only did the rear and front tranny mount and I must say I reccommend it 100%. The car inside vibrates a tad more, but nothing major that it rattles interior pieces or even buzz just a little more....."feedback" to let you know the car is "on". Going down the road it isn't really noticable either at all. However, I'm going to try and wait for a dry moment to show you the BIG difference......motor kick. I have a a little vid of it before mostly of the BOV, but you can see the motor and all bucking since it's hitting FTL.

I'm going to break the clutch in a little and wait for a warmer/dryer day to try a launch and see how it handles wheelhop. Looking at the drastically reduced engine movement I have high hopes. Enjoy!!!

Awesome. Mine are currently all brand new factory mounts stuffed with window weld. When these blow, I am pulling ALL the rubber and filling them 100% with JB weld. More expensive but should be solid like a nig in chains.
