Default Homemade Type-R Valve Cover (56k oki-doke)

Started with a stripped/silver b16 valve cover (Previous owner had painted it light blue). I then shot a couple of coats of VHT Wrinkle Red and let it dry overnight. Came out pretty good considering I put no effort into it.

I got the paint for $7.99 a can at summitracing.com (part# VHT-SP204 - good luck trying to find it on the street). The more you mask/detail, and the better you paint, the more it looks like a real Type-R Valve cover.

It looks pretty good. Me, I sent mine to Jung for powdercoating (black of course). I took the sanding disk and started hitting the letters. It came out really shiny, but i hit this spot like 1/4 that took the coat off where it shouldn't have. My black spray paint should touch it up pretty good, but that's my story.
Good job.

yea... they charge a lot for shipping because paint's considered a "hazardous material", so i bought 2 cans... just in case...

The only difference is the B16 says "HONDA MOTOR CO" and the Type-R cover just says "HONDA" same with CTR covers. Who cares anyway, we aren't judges at shows...

Great job Used2beRacer!!!
