We built one in physics class, it was pretty fun for awhile... we proved it didnt work down stairs, even when loaded with a lightweight mexican kid at high speed...

Re: Home made hover craft?
yeah i made one of these for the science fair on yr and me and my partner won 100 bux for best in show. but our bubble was like 6x the size of that one. it held our 250ish lb teacher with a 5 lb chair and 10lb leaf blower. it was sweet rode it around the halls for a bit

Re: Home made hover craft?
It might work on water as long as you can keep the pocket of air under it. I guess the only way to find out is to try it.
