most people write viruses because its just a challange to see how many computers your worm can infect or they want to expose some security hole. you could consider it fun, if you're a nerd.

ie... admin@microsoft.com, georgebush@whitehouse.gov its simple really, any unix machine, set the domain to whatever you want it to be, and make a user account to play with
