A dog should never be able to run free unless it is in a fenced yard. Ever.No matter what breed. It is especially important with pits because of the stereotype. That woman has told all of her friends that she was attacked by a pit bull. It doesn't matter what the dogs intentions were, the dog charged her and that is what she will tell people.

Oh jesus. If my dog had even the slightest hint of aggression in him I might be worried about it. People are scared of guns, but that doesn't mean I'm going to keep my guns in a secret cave below my house to avoid having some retard **** her pants at the sight of a gun. My dog isn't some sort of a trained killer and if people are that scared of the outside world they shouldn't be walking down the road in the dark unprotected in a neighborhood where EVERYBODY has a dog. In Kingman(about 50 miles from here)they have packs of wild dogs running around town. They live in the mountains and run through town looking for food and ----. I guess people shouldn't leave their houses because of that? They also have bears and skunks and ----, too. Stay indoors people, lots of scary ---- out there. I bet 1 out of 10 people driving on the road has had a few alcoholic drinks before driving. Should we stay off the road? ---- it, I'm gonna live in the cave I built for my guns under my house. :1 Just me, my crazy *** wild killer dogs and my guns.

I know what you mean Dr. BOost, i know my dog wouldn't hurt anyone, but i think you have to be mindful of these dogs, not because the dog will attack someone, but because people are uneducated about these types of breeds.

Imagine this... someone is walking down the street as a 60lb bully trots up to play? and what if that person gets scared and starts to run?
Most bullys are gonna chase them b/c they think its play, and if this person runs its gonna even excite the bully dog more... I personally think its kinda funny, cute, playfull, but some people don't and in the end if we don't take the respondsiblity to keep our dogs secure when in public, it makes the breed as a whole look bad.

More than likely that person will go home and tell all his friends and family that he was attacked by a loose pitbull, and bearly escaped.

You can imagine what could easily conspire if say... a bully breed accidentally knocked someone down. They mean well but they are like a bull in a china shop... they don't know their strength.

just be carefull

P.S. You shouldn't be waving yo guns in tha air if you aren't gonna shoot! lol... :P

I wasn't out in public. I was in my garage. My dog can't hangout in my garage with me while I work on my cars? I have to hold him on a leash incase some freak walks down the road and ***** their pants because my dog runs up to them?

I admit my dog shouldn't be running up to people like that, I try to break him of that habit, but he's a people person and LOVES people. I can't help it. He is a bull in a china shop though. Fat bastard just walks wherever he wants regardless of what's in the way. :1

My dog will sit right in my garage door opening for hours on end just watching everyone walk by and I will be working on cars. He knows better than to run off/up to people and great them.

My uncles pit did that to some old hippy walking buy and the hippy sued him and won $5000. Tree huging hippy fagot ----!!!! Its a fucked up thing. The dog is so gental. Every time I drive past his house I unload all my garbage out of my car into his yard, and now all my friends do it to. Every saturday mornig you will see him out in his yard picking up garbage for over 20 min. ---- him!!!

Pitts are some of the best dogs hands down. Ive had 2 and they were the sweetest dogs ever. I work at petsmart and im still shocked to see how many people are terrified of them. Had a customer call once and ask a associate to come out to her car (she was in the parking lot) to buy her the things she wanted because she say 2 pitts go in as she was pulling up and was terrified to go in the store. People can be so stupid.

But your dog didn't stay on your property. Your dog ran off your property and into the road. You know your dog is harmless, but I don't know that nor does anyone walking down the road.

Even if your dog didn't do anything, it will be blamed because it is a pit bull. I took my pit to a picnic where she was on leash and next to me at all times. A little girl was running around with her friend and she tripped. The little girl fell right at my dogs feet. The girl started crying because she got hurt when she fell, but all people saw was a kid crying with a pit bull on top of her. This little girl was old enough to tell her mom what happened, but what if she wasn't? It would have been called a pit bull attack.
