They recently had a APBT get one of the highest (or highest, I don't know the scale) schutzund certification. The Denise lady (Pit Bull Placebo writer) was trying to be the first APBT to get it so I'm sure she was upset. The SchIII is considered the highest achieveable level... But I think there are people around the world who have already earned SCHIII titles on their APBTs. I know for a fact that Diane Jessup has already taken a APBT to schIII title... but either way any level of Schutzhund titled dog is a good dog!

If you are considering getting your dog into some sort of sport work later down the road, i'd recomend not doing too much formal obedience untill after a year old. I let my dogs get away with things that normal pet owners would cringe at. I let them bite, jump on people, and act a fool... and when they become too annoying they go back into their crate or kennel. The reason for this is that you don't want them to have "conflict" in training down the road... for example, if you correct them for jumping or biting its very possible that they will not bite with confidence later on, nor will they be confident jumping up on the decoy to bite the sleeve. All i really focus on up untill a year old are playing games that build confidence. You can also do focus excerses that teaches them to focus on you.

Its basicly the same thing that the "competition heeling" link above.

I took some pictures of Jizz today and thought i'd share, hes just shy of 11months, and roughly 21-22" and probably somewhere in the 85lb range.

Damn evo, definitely a bully.

My APBT is just about 1yr old at 60lbs, which is the top end of the APBT weight spectrum... She's about ready for some conditioning.

You still doing weight pulls?

I havn't done much of anything lately, winter is typically down time for us. How is your training comming along?

Haven't done much :P Where I'm living has too many free-roaming dogs/cats/etc that like to show up so don't feel like chasing her around. She's done her obedience crap. Will be in a fenced yard sometime this soon, and will be setting up a springpole for her to play with once it warms up.
