HMT setup #2 finished. Updated pictures more on SRT4 intercooler

We'll here's a few pics of how the civic is coming along. I took them with my camera phone, so they are not the greatest, but still you get the idea, then the phone took a dump and stopped working, piece of ---- is only 5 weeks old.
I have done a few more things since these pics, and the car only needs for me to finish the downpipe and street tune it a little more until I can get it to a dyno.

We'll see how it runs.

for those who don't know the car is
88 Civic hatch DX
DPFI to MPFI convertion
95 JDM SOHC Vtec ZC engine
T3 from a volvo
Revhard manifold
SSAC wastegate
Neon SRT4 intercooler
DSM 450cc injectors
Apex V-afc
DSM 1st gen BOV

It's looking pretty good, I'm happy. Setup #1 was with an RHB5 that was messed up, and didn't really work too good. I sold everything, and made enough for this setup.

how u end up getting that t3 off the manifold?

Re:HMT setup #2 finished. First pictures

It was a bitch, I had to cut thru the two flanges that held the bolts together, then I had plenty of bolt head and thread for the 12 point socket to work.
But now I know how to do it, and should be easier next time

It fits pretty good but I had to cut a lot of the radiator panel support. The endtanks point inside or to the engine, so you can't go thru the sides. I'll take more pictures tomorrow

Pics are big, and I have more of the intercooler if someone wants them, I'll email you. They look pretty good and maybe can be bought cheap, I got this one for $100. I had to cut a lot of metal to fit it, but it's in.
I have not been able to finish the downpipe yet, stupid work and life won't give me enough time to do ----. Good thing it's not my only car.
Here's another pic I took of the WRX

nice job man! And you did do a buncha hacking on that support :o

Also I dig the wrx! Looks hot! What lip is that, my cousin should get one for his 04, i like that lip. Also are those the new oem bronze/gold rims, or did you paint them? Either way looks great!

i love the wrex

davcivic 02-15-2005 06:12 AM

Re:HMT setup #2 finished. Updated pictures more on SRT4 intercooler

Thanks for all the comments. The rims on the wrex are the factory rims, but painted gold. Looks a lot better than silver. The lip I got of ebay, is a JUN replica, made of polyurethane, fitted good and it was only $125.

Yes, I had to hack the support, but because I didn't measure anything, I just went in with the hacksaw and cut enough to fit it, I probably could have done better and save some of the support, but whatever, it fits

Re:HMT setup #2 finished. Updated pictures more on SRT4 intercooler

I got offered 2500 by a ricer, because the engine is JDM yo!! and it's turbo. It did cost me $100, plus $100 for the engine, plus around $700 for the turbo kit. I should sell it.
