Default HMT recipe V: Poutine

-Hi I'm actor Troy McClure. You might remember me from such Do-It-Yourself home videos such as
"How to feed a turbo with oil" or "Cooking for mechanics"
So today i'm gonna show you(for American) how to prepare a poutine

Tell me Mr. Mclure; What the hell is a poutine?

-Well young boy!, A poutine is the name of a French Canadian meal. Invented in the late 1950's in Quebec, this artery clogging dish consists of thick cut french fries and cheese covered in turkey gravy. Many restaurants offer imitations but accept no substitutes.

Please Mr. Mclure could you teach us how to cook a Poutine??

-Well, you must start by putting french fries in the oven at 450° for 10-15 minutes

While the french fries are in the oven, grate some cheese (i use mozarella... hmmm)

Put the turkey gravy on the stove if its in can, or prepare the mix if its in powder.

Once your french fries are bake put them in a plate

Now, put the grated cheese on the fries

At this time you turkey gravy must be ready; pour the gravy on the cheese to make it melt

Put some salt and/or pepper

now eat it... Do It!!! Do IT!!
Eat poutine, for protein!

You could also put some vinegar or ketchup, it good also but i prefer the classic version.

Good stuff, one thing I must add though...I dont think you put french fries IN the oven, lol, you put them on the stove top in a pot of vegetable oil.

yes they do.

I may have to try that someday. Doesn't look too hard. The hard part is grating the cheese, eh I'll just rip open a couple slices of cheese and toss it on there. Looks yummy! Chef Murdoc aproves
