OMFG enough with the excuses. ::) The track was new, the track was cold, the slicks were too small, the driver sucked, blah blah blah. ::) High 11's is still fast. No need to use every excuse in the book to justify yourself. I'm sure it's one of the top 10 fastest cars on this site AS IT SITS. :l

Well ----, I just don't see the need to make excuses for running an 11 second 1/4. :l Yes, it's going to be faster, but that doesn't mean it's not fast right now. :-\

300ZX: No engine bay having poorly designed IRS that wheelhops after you lay a grand into it coated with lard and $bling$ options to the point it's so heavy there's nothing sportscarlike about it's power-weight or handling.

people that say the car has no engine bay just suck at working on cars and are too used to hondas and having so much room you can fit a family of midgets in the engien bay, and those people arent up to a achallenge of working on a super car for the era cm

damn! hotcheeks with 1/4 times like that I would still be celebrating. I never raced on a track before and dont have any launching skills, but I hope I can pulled out something like that, not even the v8 muscle guys run those times here, there is a guy here with a fire hawk that runs low 11's in the 1/4 and everyone is scared of him, I hope to take him down this year, even if I am not behind the wheel, just want my car to take him out.

I have a pair of pirelli p zero 15" road racing slicks mounted on bmw aluminum rims, they are not wrinkle wall tires, they are more like street tires without thread, will these benefit me or will they only hurt my time, I know they can burn out on them to get the heated but but will they do any good?

Road race slicks do better than 99 percent of street tires and most the popular drag radials.

Is it smoke crack day down in the trailer park today? ??? Road race slicks completely suck for drag racing. We had a set of road race slicks and launching on them was like trying to launch on an ice rink.

Re: HMT NE track day results

what tire pressure would ya'll recomend to get some grip on the road race sliks? I have them at stock pressure now.

those things must have superhard sidewalls

Re: HMT NE track day results

Had a set of 23" hoosiers on the sentra. 14 psi in them, burnout a little longer than normal to heat them up, and they cut 1.8 60' times with the car's best of 7.8 @ 92 mph. Better than 99% of street tires, and most drag radials. Lets see bfg junk street tire rubber passed off as a drag radial do better

Re: HMT NE track day results

I think they will do good, the guy I bought them from is a professional roadracer, and he told me after the he do one lap around the track they are soft and has a lot of grip, he has a garage full of them, and he sells them to a lot of drag racers for $100 a pair. and he said they love them, he only used them one time then sells them. but I am not that good at launching so I need to get some practice with the slicks, cause with them they will put me in the outlaw class, and I suck, I only win races because my car is quick, not my driving ;D
