HMT on NA supra?
 
Talk to me about it....been doing some research and need some more input :y
Also who makes decent/fair price turbo manifold?
Its a 95 NA 5 speed...power goal around 400hp.

just bolt the stock turbo ---- up to it

x2. If you can tune it, you'll probably make quite a few more horsepower than the stock 2JZ-GTE, with just the GTE stock turbo parts installed on a GE motor. Gotta be careful since the internals are weaker, but the higher compression with net you a few ponies.

I've heard conflicting stories, but the one I've heard the most is the only internal difference block-wise is the pistons, and that everything else is the same down there. Truth?

That sounds about right. When my dad was comtemplating getting rid of his '92 SC300 when he had an overheating problem (turns out it was a hole in the rad, and he kept it, that bastard), I was going to buy it cheap and turbo it. I just remember, from my research, that something was different internals-wise. Could be just the pistons, and that'd make sense.

2jzgte's have oil squirtters that sprinkle jdm magic all over the inside of the engine.

You don't need input from us, you just need to research. Throw the stock ---- on or do an hmt setup with whatever you can find cheap, that's all there is to it.
