Re: HMT Force Air Heater
you need to rig it so it will stay on even when the door is open.. it works best that way... dont ask why i know this.....
another good option is just crank the real oven on, and leave the door open 3 or 4 inches... |

Just go out and buy a small charcoal grill, pour in a heaping pile of charcoal, light it and be sure to close all the doors and windows. |

Re: HMT Force Air Heater
Actually that setup is probably safer than the baseboard. :P
You should look into toyo kerosine burners. I have a monitor heater in my home, and its considered the failure form of the lot, but the damn thing works. Something like 93.4% thermally eff. :S Apparently, according to 'Al' you can burn off-road diesel and all sorts of petroleum distilates in them as well, mixing kerosine to keep the diesel from gelling. |

Re: HMT Force Air Heater
So it's gonna be somewhat warm and smell like stinky shoes in your room. Sweet! By the way, is that a Honeywell fan? I've got that some fan. I'd just go out and by a fan with a heater in it. Their pretty cheap compared to the price of burning your house down.

Re: HMT Force Air Heater
oil radiator heater + fan behind = forced air heater
