Voting is for ------- suckers. Do you think any of those people actualy give a ---- once they get into office? All voting got me is wasting 2 weeks of work for some drug related armed robbery jury duty. Anyone willing to sink that much money into campaigning, because they think that they're the right person for the job over everyone else is an ego driven douchebag who is only there for power and to promote themselfs farther into life. Using whatever means possible to sway your vote into that favor, even if it means externaly binding themselfs to a specific partys manifesto while hiding their actual motivations from the public.

I vote for who I like and who makes more sense to me. I do not vote for someone who falls under an umbrella catagory of "democrat" or "republican" I try to think for myself and not roll with a group. so where the Independant choice?

Stevemode, I know you don't need an explanantion, but here's mine...

I'm not as much worried about the candidates, as I am about the propopistions we have to vote on here in Arizona. For instance we had at least three different props that involved illegal immigrants. Two of these were No Probabtion option for Illegals convicted of a crime, and the other is that they cannot receive awards from any lawsuits they may file. Another prop was about banning smoking in public places. And believe it or not, we had to vote in English as our state's official language, AGAIN!

The candidates are just a side issue for me. I choose them by reviewing their voting record on key issues I am interested in. There are all kinds of specal interest sites that track this for you, just watch out for different biases. If the current guy has voted as he said he would, and happens to agree with me, then I vote to keep him in. Otherwise, I'll resort to voting Republican when I can. If that doesn't seem good and no choice is clear, I resort to less respectable ways of choosing...

Get out and vote!
