HMT canadian styles, Exhaust and FG
Welcome, it's finally here, HMT canaddian styles Custom fiberglass hood, and how to repair your loud *** exhaust.
lots of pics, so get a coffee or something
Fiber Glass hood
This is what I started with, A Fiberglass box from walmart or something, I stole it from they're trash.
I roughly cut it all down it wasn't wide enough to cover the whole hood, So i had to add a piece in the middle(make sure you wear a mask when you cut this ----, otherwise you'll probly get cancer and die)
Next step Is to put the middle piece in, I used lots of my big **** to glue it(stole from contruction site), I also took some shoe glue that a Native was sniffing and used it also, works good.
Here she is ready for prep and paint, I had to use some
bolts to hold her down, I think the glue was expired.
Got alittle carried away
Thats pretty much it, It weighs nothing, and once I paint it, It won't look that bad for 2 hours of work(no cost to me ) plus the Ricers around here will believe it's a blits CF hood, haha.
EXHAUST REPAIR
Since I've owned the car, I've hit a curb, a mexican on a bike, and ------- a couple big rocks i was too lasy to avoid, plus I have a shitty OBX muffler and it's "louder then a jet plane"(thats what the cops tell me )
First step, cut out the big dent and repair that sucker witha new piece of pipe, I finally did something right!!!, Used the old Snap-on mig for this. (eat your heart out projekteg!!) I ran out of wire after, and burnt my ------- hand on it.
With no wire, and no more pipe, I couldn't think of any way to fix the other big *** hole in the exhaust, so after much drinking, we found the solution
a layer of sheet steel,A couple layers of pop cans, some hose clamps, and she's as good as new.
Next step was to make a gasket for the 2 piece OBX header, didn't know what to use so I used a piece of my old liscence plate, didn't get any pics of the holes I drilled in it, but heres the plate cut.
I also gutted my cat, I cut off the bolts to detach it from the ehaust, but didn't have any replacements, I also had no ------- wire for my mig, So out comes the OLd arc to throw a couple snot beads onto it. Beautiful. did you notice, I'm welding on top of the fiberglass hood!
To make sure my huge *** OB-POS muffler wasn't going to be too loud, I got my girl(yes that bitch loves me so much she'll get on her hands and knees) to pound some metal shavings from a lathe in it, took alot of -------.
Next I capped it off with some window screen and two hose clamps made into one
So that concludes this Weeks HMT canadian Styles.
Next week I'll show you how to make your own endtanks (for cheap) on a old Audi 5000 intercooler, BOO YA
