I ran it all night, for about 150 miles of driving (drove back to school) Car drives like normal and I don't think there was any lint in it I think it might actually work alright.

I've used a sock before and the car didn't even want to start. It blocked the flow major, but I guess I may just have thick socks. Use pantyhose.

I've heard sock filters work better if you shoot your babies into them first.

Not an HMT filter, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread...

Mushroom Foam Filter vs. Paper Cone Filter vs. Screen/Clamp?

I had a cone filter, but I physically don't have room anymore. I switched to a Mushroom Foam Filter, but I'm not sure if it's more of an obstruction than help. So I'm thinking about going to a Screen, but how bad is it going to be with water?

Well, FYI, my sock is working great. Takes up zero room and I ran the car up to 7K today at 10 psi and no restriction problems or anything. Put a pipe on the turbo so it isn't exposed to water and there are no problems.
