It's no fun going around asking how to do something. Just go out and be a originator. :6

I hate choppers with a passion. I don't understand the culture our point of riding something that can't perfom.
And all the leather those guys wear. ever since I was a little kid and saw that police acadamy movie where they send the other guys to the gay biker bar..Harley guys and chopper riders all just look like fags to me.

give me a cbr or a gsxr.

maybe, maybe not. Neither are my style. I prefer the stripped cafe look. I've got a '75 CB360 that I'm cafe'ing. No more fenders, starter, turn signals, or body work, chopped frame, raised rear suspension, and clip-ons. Right now it still has a front disk brake, but I'll be ditching that for a drum to get rid of the master cylinder, it's big and ugly.

---- the Ruckus... Big Ruckus FTW!

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/photos/05_BigRuckus.jpg

Actually, not really. At 250cc it weighs more than a Ninja 250 and puts out less power. Worthless.

krustindumm 09-03-2007 02:18 PM

Re: HMC

ruckus's are slow, even by scooter standards. I think it's because they don't have v-tech. Would be fun to get one and somehow wedge in a XR650R engine or similar though. Engine weighs ~90lbs, makes 55hp.

Re: HMC

Check out the horse magazine , I know quite a few people into this sort of thing and i'm looking at building my own here soon, my bike is to the point where I want it almost and I'm ready to build something old and ratty. Look at the old yamaha 650 inline twins. You can just modify the stock frame, or make bolt in struts to drop the back end, and if you want to lowere the front end alot of bikes you can just loosen the clamps on the tripple tree and push the forks down. I should post pics of my dads old 72 iron head sportster that we've been working on. That is another cheap option as well iron heads can be had for pretty f'n cheap.

WTF 09-03-2007 07:58 PM

Re: HMC

ratty is what im going for.

I think your talking about posers, the guys that I hang out with that ride real choppers don't really wear leather unless if its cold. Thats the only time I wear it. I think that most sport bike guys look like power rangers when they wear all that gear.( I don't hate sportbikes) You'd be surprised how fast some of the choppers are. in a straight line atleast. ------- iron horse, big dog, etc. are'nt real choppers those are production bikes that some lawyer pays $60,000 for to ride to a bike night once a week. I don't know if you ride or not but once you get on a comfy cruiser you'd understand why people ride them, I rode my dads 07 streetglide the other day and now I want one. Its like riding a cadilac. I happen to love real choppers but to each their own.

I know the point of it, a few of the guys I ride with won't ride without the gear, its a good idea but I like be comfterable. Its just my personal choice to ride without it, I do alwasy wear a helmet though. i went down before and it hurt like hell, I was wearing a leather jacket, but my knees took the impact. I was only going about 15mph on my dads 72 sportster it sucked majorly.

I did that once during my 12+ hour ride across ontario on my Ninja 636. ---- my ass, wrists and back hurt after that one. I was wishing I had a cruiser.
