On a drunken rampage one night I found a half decent looking high flow air filter for my chevelle. Space is tight so I am going to run the HKS style. They are the cheap *** tin, shiny piece of ---- ones like this.... What I'm asking is, anyone able to find the more quality ones lol? I can't for the life of me.

call k&N or another filter company and tell them what you need. the they will recommend something.

dont buy that peice of ---- filter.

 

That thing is pre-filter quality.

So you need a 4.25" filter? Is that the jist of it?

Call Jegs up. They can look through every available K&N and give you the best fit. They have some crazy stubby filters like that too. Otherwise just buy a K&N and then cut it down and cap it with a lid from something like coffee can.

 

yeah i've heard horror stories about those kind of foam filters coming apart and getting sucked into engine/turbo. I'd run a cheapo knockoff k&n style before that, and best bet would be to get a k&n like was already saide
