HF / Si

Does the Si have the same ecu as a HF?

Re:HF / Si

Nope, Pm6 is the SI ECU
pm8 is hf

is the wiring harness the same?

Re:HF / Si

Explain what you are trying to do? you can put a SI motor in a HF, the harness will work and everything, but you cant put a 88hf harness in a 91 si, the wiring is slightly different and will not work. Just use the harness that is in the car, everything will plug up fine.

Re:HF / Si

so i *could just drop the d16a6 into a hf body and it would run fine?

Re:HF / Si

HF ECU *could run* a HF, but it would run it like ----... safely? nah it would run pretty lean actually, especially since the HF ecu is designed for 190cc injectors.

And yes, you can just drop a A6 right in a HF, plug and play, no worries, just need a SI/Pm6 ecu!

Re:HF / Si

i was just thinking of my next project car. im thinking a 88 CRX HF would probably be the best place to start, im having trouble finding one that isnt rusted to peices though. i plan to stay d-series with huge boost, thats why i was wondering about the wiring harness.

The Si ECU will not allow an HF motor to start, too much fuel, if that says anything.
