HF Manifold question

Ok, this is gonna be a retarded question:

I bought an HF manifold w/adapter plate and turbo. So Friday I removed my stock exhaust (d15b1 in 88 hatch), and realized it looked exactly like an 'HF' manifold. Are they the same thing?

I'll want to sell my stock manifold, but wouldnt want to label it as an 'HF' manifold and be wrong somehow and waste somebody's time.

Thanks in advance

Re: HF Manifold question

yes, the earlier std hatches had the HF manifold, their is slight differences on the runners and the way it looks, but so slight that can't hardly be seen.

There was a tech article about them a long time ago. The STD I think had a number 3 on the first runner, the hf has something different. I think the STD had the larger runners, not to sure about it.

Re: HF Manifold question

only 88 STD has the "HF" manifold, and yes it has the #3 printed on a runner. the plenum is physically bigger and it appears that the runners are just a tiny bit bigger, but the ports look the same. so in essence, the STD manifold can be ported larger.

This manifold is off a 93 Civic CX/VX, notice it has a "L" on the #4 runner.

The HF, Std, & Civic CX/VX from top to bottom. As you can see there really is hardly any difference in the manifolds. The STD has the largest runners, and the HF/CX manifolds are nearly identical.

No markings on the HF manifold.

The STD manifold has the number three imprinted on runner #4
