I know the pins that I have on my car are way better than the locking type, the locking type is more of a security option than a safety, the ones I have are actual pins that works along with my factory latch. the aerocatch ones looks really good though.
if have a carbon fiber hood and you drive your car more than 45mph get hood pins, don't watch what people think about them because they are not the one paying for the damage a popped hood can cause.
