if you work with the ******** everyday, you're life will be miserable.
What type of area you live in, any chance of renting your place out and moving closer? Just charge enough that you keep low rent ********* out that would trash the place, and take at least 1st and last months rent deposit to cover possible damages.
That would be a less permanent solution, and could start building passive income if you end up liking where you move to.

My step dad works about hour and a half away, rents this cheap *** trailer and comes back home when he wants. Pay offset>rent. If the job pays enough just do something like that, rent a trailer and use it as storage or something.

Yeah at this point i think working with alot less stress everyday>working with ********... Plus, i was thinking of selling the house i have now and moving closer to work, but i got this house for a steal, so i stand to make alot of money on it anyway... You guys gotta understand that the ******** i used to work with drove 2 different guys out of their jobs, and one guy out of the department entirely. At least the guys i work with now are decent, we watch eachothers back and have fun most of the time too, no such luck at the other building... yeah this job pays wayy too good to ---- up

Then rent out your house, even if you end up paying a couple hundred per month for the mortgage, then rent something on the way cheap side (unless you ball) closer to work. At worst you have renters paying off your house, and you keep your job.

im thinking about that too steve, but i worry about it because its a decent place and it has a pool, and stuff can go to hell if not taken care of good. Plus, the mortage is roughly 1700/mo.

So? There's plenty of families flopping on their $3,000 mortgage to rent a bomb place at $1,700. There's a market for lots of everything in the rental market. Don't worry about upkeep. They'll either take care of it, or you'll take care of it later. Fixing ---- is cheap if you've got two hands and they aren't used for picking up the phone.
Write into the contract that you do a walk through every 6 months, and be ---- about what needs to be fixed when you see it, charge a good security deposit, etc....
