7-8 PSI would be fine with that turbo. Go to the force induction forum and check the first few posts, the stickies, you will find tons of information.
You have the right idea, and by the way no one will bash you for having a civic, well except for the HMT Domestic Team. 99% of the members drive civics.

Read a lot
and post some ****

when I refer to the 3-5 psi it is because as of right now it is for daily driving. the turbo is good for 300hp 350 with proper fueling. stock is 8psi. I dont plan on changing stock. I am sorry I didnt read the stickies first, as I am just browsing the web. (sorry for you all who want 10-15 psi, but until the funds go up sometime in march I will be limited on engine mods) This isnt something that I plan on even starting to work on until march or later, when it warms back up. I just want to get my information in properly before even starting the project. and ****? i dont get exactly what you want by posting **** but w/e you say chief.

3 psi wont even crack your blow off valve off. just throw some check valves on there run a pipe straight from the turbo to the intake manifold and your engine will be like "meh, 3psi? is this all you have homo?" you can change a d16z6 out in a few hours. its no big deal if it blows up.

Shut up before you say something stupid. Woops too late. Half of what your saying isnt making any sense, and no we haven't seen your baseball.

Youc an afford 3-5psi but you can't afford 10-15psi? If the stock boost on your snail is 8psi, the minimum you can run is 8psi unless you want to modify the wastegate actuator rod, which is silly anyways.

For fuel management, its not even gonna cost you $100 so I really can't see how that's a money issue.

I got the turbo from a buddy of mine, for free. I have been reading through things. I simply asked if you had any specific suggestions of things to use. as far as changing psi, I was implying what would be a good boost control manual or a box. and Then, I was asking for honest opinion of from someone who has done this and things to use for it. I realize changing a D16 motor will take just about 3 hours to swap out I have done that before, this is my first time dealing with a turbo, and several people refered me to here, saying that people have good comments, see thats not exact case. I am not looking to go through the roof on my first turbo set up. I wanted to set up this turbo on this engine to test it out before I go and replace it with the rebuilt that I have ordered.

you have to extend the actuator arm on the waste gate to make it open sooner so you lower boost. all boost controlers allow you to do is bypass some presure going to the wastegate, you cant physicaly lower boost without modifying the wastegate itself.

Dude, please do SOME research before posting a "what do I need" thread. Putting that POS on your car isn't that hard just a lot of research is needed. Like everyone has said, read all the "newbs read this" threads!

p.s. Don't boost your everyday driver if you can't take a chance of blowing it. And running such a gay PSI with an FMU is gonna make you a whopping 20 hp! :1

I have another car to drive as a daily driver, like I have said, this isnt a what do I need thread this is a WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST AS PARTS THREAD. I have read, and that showed because I was only missing a couple things. IT WILL BE BOOSTING AT 8PSI. I hope the larger letters help you in actually reading rather than glancing.
