Road rage is not tolerated in my area at least. From what I understand if the law enforcement wanted to take this seriously enough (most likely if they found him on the same night) the driver could be charged with some form of assault. As in, they threw something at you with intent to hurt you, but luckily your car was able to protect you :6 Its all up to the cops in your area at this point whether or not they wanna let things like this happen and not do anything about it

So I take it there is a state code for this "Road Rage" ? Road rage is a term coined by the media. An officer will not cite anyone for anything that they did not see, atleast that is the way it is here in VA, with few exceptions, and same in PA, So I would imagine most states are that way. Assault ? No, at best it is vandalism, or throwing missile from a moving vehicle. Learn the law, I deal with it everyday. Grab a code book and read, best way to learn.

So Road Rage doesnt exist other than in the media? ::)

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the definitions of aggressive driving and road rage are as follows:

Aggressive Driving: "The commission of two or more moving violations that is likely to endanger other persons or property, or any single intentional violation that requires a defensive reaction of another driver. "

Road Rage: "An assault with a motor vehicle or other dangerous weapon by the operator or passenger(s) of one motor vehicle on the operator or passenger(s) of another motor vehicle caused by an incident that occurred on a roadway. "

And yes in some states, if it is under the definition of road rage, you can be charged with assault and battery or even vehicular homicide if someone is killed. I guess this is new to you? If you deal with it everyday you should know better
