make me miss my '75 rolla sport coupe w/ 2tc 5-spd.
The cars had forge rods, cranks, and pistons back then.

Damn frame broke crappy steel back then.

not bad. It took me a second to figure out what you had under the hood.

I was like, wait a goddamned minute, thats not a 4a or a 5m or even a 7m........SWEET!

Good job doing something different.

I love the early 80's toyota corollas, My older bro had an 83 corolla wagon parts car long long ago. I would love to have that thing today

Who told you this But h-beams and forged pistons are cheap for them.


G54b's are a tank of a motor, just tank all the mitsu stuff off and you are good to go.

When I replace the rod bearing in mine I noticed a thick forge line on the crank.

Yeah I'm using info from some old SBC interchange and in the book it explains about how to find if you have a forge crank. But now that I work at a foundry and learning correct foundry terms. It be the flash on the crank that you look for.

Clean car and solid build. Old man I know has an 81 corolla fully restored. It's red and HOTT. But not turbo.

Cranks are forged, rods maybe, but still to weak to handle anything decent, pistons are cast. I have a few sets of the stock rods and pistons in the floor that need to be broke down for the recycle guy.
