Default help on springs and shocks

ok i got some eiback spings and takico shocks. and what i'm woundering is the rubber part thats at the top. should i replace that with new ones or is it safe to use the ones that are on my car.

are you talking about the bushings? if you are don't they come with the shocks? mine did but if not then it would be a good idea but not a neccesity

I think he means the bump stops?

Price them out.. if they're cheap you might as well.

If you mean the bumpstops you need them, you can cut them down a little but I dont think you should just ditch them. as for the bushing on the very top, the tokicos should have came with them, if not you should reuse your old ones untill you get some from honda or go polyurathane.

PS. Ive been running the tokico blues with eibock sportlines for two years and there a sweet ride, not bouncy like a lot of lowering springs out there. good choice.

yes use the bump stops, they're cheap if you want to replace them. but you can resuse the original ones. if your car is lowered atleast 2" or more. just cut out one of the ridges in the bump stops.

my set up that i got is tokico blue and the por- kit eibach springs. but on side note i should be fine with the regonal ones.. so i'm all good. koo thanks!!

should i worry about speed bumps? there is some that i hafe to go over. also.. when going into a gas station some are kinda steep. is there and angle to go over them so i wont drag bottum.

speed bumps suck,i wouldnt hit them hard.you could bottom out your shock and blow the piston.and always watch for steep drives you will bottom out in a lowered car.i have to watch all the time.go uo in a angle instesd of straight up and it wont drag to bad if any at all.
