help running 16.0 @85 ,Need help
 

I have a 93 civic vei which basically is a four door vx .It lighter than all other 4 doors .It house's the gay d15z1 vtec-e motor.Bone stock i ran a 17.7 @79 .And now i turbod it,i ran a 16.0 on 5psi intercooled 2.5inch exhaust.But i think my clutch is slipping because ive had the car boosted before on a smaller spec ihi and it pulled heaps harder and would have been good for 14's .I cant work out whats wrong??These r my possible reasons.

wastegate seems easy to pull could be leaking boost?
fmic to large not flowing quick
clutch is fcukd same as pressure plate.
engines got tired of boost (80778 miles ,totalmiles)
my car needs more fuel (only running adj fpr)

Just a FPR? OMFG LOL!!!! LAWL!!
seems like your on a poor mans budget.
get an FMU, inline pump, some check valves to bypass the map sensor.. Check the waste gate and get an exedy clutch on ebay thier 125 bucks shipped.
300 bucks total and bump it to 8psi.. u should maybe see low 14's high 13's maybe....

dropped 1.7 with a HMT kit.. thats not bad.. if your clutch feels like its slipping replace it ;)

I have check valve's
i also have a safc
but my o2 is stuffed so im not putting that on yet
yes its pretty much a poor mans build up.

whats the old turbo, whats the new one, did u have the FMIC b4 you changed turbos? do u have a boost gauge?

dude answer is simple.
5.5 psi isn't dick...

get some 450s if you dont have em already.
boost 8 or 9

and get a clutch.... exedy are cheap and pretty durable..

no u wont see no 13's... but u should dip low 15's maybe high 14's if your lucky.

u told the poor kid he could hit 13's in a 4 door sohc that probably will make a net 170whp at 9 psi.

anything is possible. however with just 8psi its not gonna happen... we all know that.

maybe that motor in a hachty with 9 might do it.

boost 8. get a new clutch. should dip you a half a second or so lower et's...
