Did you paint the rest of it? I was thinking of doing a color change on my civic from Gray to Black, but I dont know what kind of paint to use, I dont want anything that will start coming off in a year or so.

Any of you guys do color changes to interiors? I knwo they make a paint just for that, has anyone had any experiences with it?

i used some cheap primer black. Looks pretty good. Nice and flat black too, not no nasty gloss black.

sand it? coats? ???

Haha, I just wiped it a little and sprayed that ---- on there. I just sprayed til I was content with the coverage and color and i didn't use too much either. It stuck well, it's been on for a few months now. ArmorAll'ed it and it didn't come off.

Maybe tomorrow I'll take some pics for you.

Pics would be awesome bro O0

I am considering doing this to my door pannels front and back (4 door goodness) and the trim in between, I always wanted black interior but it is very difficult to find a 5th gen sedan with black trim. So I Take it that if I sand it, clean it with a tack rag and mineral spirits that my paint will stick and never come off?

use 100 grit to clean it then 2-4 coats of primer let dry 24hr. then wet sand with 600 grit then paint the color u want let sit 24hr to dry.
ps. keep in a room 70 degrees. any spray paint will work.

I used Gloss Black Kryon Fushion Paint. It's meant for plastics. Just do very thin coats (so no texture is lost) and wash the parts will dish soap and HOT water, then use a paint prep/paint thiner to whipe it first. Do sand too much if any otherwise you loose the pattern. If you can Soda Blast it first. I had a friend do his ricey Cavaqueer in Red and he has no problem (except for me making fun of him behind his back). I can post pics this week end if you want.
