Help me out with my school paper and take a quick 4 q survey
 

Okay I got a paper for school and basically to take up some extra space I'm wanna include some results of a survey.

Well here we go,

1. Do you refer to friends as family?

2. Would you include your cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. as your immediate family?

3. DO you feel that traditional family (parents and their offspring only aka nuclear family) is weaking?

4. Do you think the "modern" family strengthens the family or weakens it?

I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me out with this. Please include the question number with the answer to them.

Thanks a lot. Hopefully I et enough before 10am in the morning. Due tomorrow. :P

P.S. When I used the term "modern" family, i was refering to families from single parent households, homosexual couples, grandparents taking care of their grand children, uncles and aunts taking care of their nieces and nephews, a group of friends, a group of co-workers, or any of those combined, etc. Thanks

1) Some good friends can be considered family. A good friend of my father's has been my "uncle" my whole life.

2) Cousins / uncles / aunts are not immidiate family. Immidiate family is a predefined term, i.e. your mother father sisters brothers. Some of my uncles are very close to us, while some arent.

3) The traditional family is weakening in many senses and it's a very bad thing. It's mainly due to stupid women working, and not doing the housework. A womens place is in the home, or teaching.

4) From your definition of a 'modern' family, I think gay people should be shot. Single parenting should be illegal unless there are extenuating circumstances, it's horrible on the childern. Divorces are given too easily these days. These things you've defined as the 'modern' family are not modern, they are prehistoric idocies and people who think they are a good idea, too, should be shot.

1) Not really. My dads close friends we used to call uncle and aunt...but that was when i was like 6

2)No. If they live in your house they are immediate plus mom, dad, and syblings

3) I'm not sure. Im going to say maybe a little bit...but its not too bad. :-\

4) I think divorce is as bad as a kid growing up in an abusive house or a house with arguing all the time. I dont think gay people should have children b/c its 100% un-natural. I think if your parent is a bad parent you should be placed w/ family over some stranger. I'm not sure what effects this has caused on present day society but i think its not as bad as a woman being stuck in a kitchen and loathing herself because shes "just a housewife"...

So i guess im saying, it all depends on the given situation, but divorce rates are far to high.

Still workin on the paper, but just wanted to give a quick thanks to Jeff Travis and bigwig.

Some of the results shock me a little, but all in the name of science (i know don't make too much sence but sounded so perfect). Keep em comin guys. Much appreciation to ya'll that answered. And those who didn't, come on, it ain't that hard. just 4 questions, yes or no to each one is perfectly fine. :'(
