I need a real small hood scoop. Basicly the size old 300zx single turbo cars. That size is perfect. Now don't blast me and yell " RICE " I have a reason for it. My intercooler ( the way the kit was designed ) sits in my air box location and right now all I have is a hole cut out in my stock hood with mesh grill to keep big daybree out but I'd like to cover it up with a small scoop. I've looked in junk yards in my area but they either don't have them or they've been taken. You'd think with all these riced out body kits you'd find it on the internet but I've tried and everyone has the same big *** scoops that I don't want. I just need something real small and if I could find a old 300zx turbo it'd be perfect but I can't. Any links would help me out alot.

 

make one yourself, my intercooler is also underhood. what im doing is making 3 cuts in my hood, peeling up the piece and making sides for it out of sheetmetal then plending it in with fiberglass, that way its all part of the hood not something that has to be bonded on and will crack.

I was considering having one on mine (300zx scoop) on the driver's side.. I just want to lower the underhood temp a bit.. I've seen them before on a rex and they look very nice.. there's no rice involved.

 

 

Thank you soooooooooooooo much Abaz. Thats exactly what I need. Except those EF's have them alittle higher up on their hoods then mine. Mine bascily slightly above the head light right where the intake filter would be. I'll have pic.'s of the install soon.

 

Well, you can alway's form a scoop on the hood, and cut out another min-scoop on there that open up after 50 MPH...it work's, it look's cool, not to hard to fab up, and it get's the job done.

Holy ----, team proto wants 75 for that 300z hood scoop!!! ---- that's a gang of cash. And that blue rex looks a whole lot better without them dang speed stickers. And that hood scoop on that 1st gen rex, looks freakin' clean. Flows really well. And like dr pep I don't appreicate getting flicked off :P
