turbohf,
download via torrent - roadstarter boot cd v2.0
burn iso onto a cd
boot from the cd and execute Windows XPE Live

It will load up temporary windows where you can access any file on the hard drive that you want and then copy it to flash drive/external.

If you want to make a drive to kent, I can save all your ---- for you.

As long as the computer reads the drive and the fucked up version of windows is still there than your data is good and hardware is good so far to make a retrieval of your documents.
if you want to send me a pm or email to the address in my profile with any problems you're experiencing. (it goes straight to my phone and i can answer fast)
i can help you over the phone or worst scenario is you have to drive to kent to get that ---- done at no expense.

To make this work easier,
enter bios
find the boot order (usually a couple of tabs to the right)
place the cd-rom as first and hard drive as second

Another reason why it might not be booting from the disk is the program that you burned the disc with. I use *ashampoo burning studio* to burn all of cd's, *alcohol 120%* works great as well. Make sure you burn the disc image onto the disc, not just copying the .iso file onto it.
